Charity of the Year 2018 – the challenge is on!

The votes are in! The team at Naylor Wintersgill have chosen local Bradford based charity Cancer Support Yorkshire as their charity of the year for 2018.

Here at Naylor Wintersgill we’re very pleased to support and pro-actively contribute to the local community and pride ourselves on our charitable ethos. Following the results of the vote in December, we decided to head over to the Cancer Support Yorkshire head office and support centre to chat with fundraiser Linda Enderby about the ways in which the charity supports cancer patients, their carers and families in the local area.

From the support centres located in Bradford, Skipton and Wakefield the charity provides help with practical issues like information, transport to hospital appointments and advice on welfare rights. Alongside this they also offer a range of one to one well-being services like counselling and complementary therapies.

You can find out more about the great work of Cancer Support Yorkshire here.

Kick start to fundraising with mind-over-matter challenge!

The Naylor Wintersgill team will be kick starting their fundraising efforts in 2018 by taking on the charity’s fire and glass challenge being held on Sunday 18th February at the Bradford & Bingley Sports Club.

Naylor Wintersgill’s very own Claire Featherstone and Rebecca Farhall will be facing their fears and putting their nerves to the test as they dare to walk over a bed of hot coals and glass in support of the charity.

If you would like to support the brave duo, you can visit our JustGiving page here.

This event is part of a year full of fundraising activities and events for Naylor Wintersgill in support of Cancer Support Yorkshire with the team hoping to raise a grand total of £4,000 for the charity during 2018.
