Football fundraiser with a twist

Football fever hit Naylor Wintersgill on Friday 22nd June as they held a charity football tournament with a twist to raise funds for Cancer Support Yorkshire.

The fundraising event saw the Naylor Wintersgill team battle it out against opposition from the Bradford business and professional community on a crazy inflatable football pitch at their offices based on Grammar School Street in the city centre.

Complete with padded suits, the teams competed in the bouncy arena to raise just over £600 for the charity who offer support to people affected by cancer in the Yorkshire region.

Naylor Wintersgill Managing Director Victoria Wainwright comments, “With football fever taking hold across the city, we felt we couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to raise money whilst having fun in true Naylor Wintersgill style! I am delighted that we have raised vital funds for the Naylor Wintersgill charity of the year and we had lots of laughs along the way - whoever said accountants were boring?!”

A competitive team from local law firm Gordons LLP scooped up the trophy vowing to be back next year to defend their title. The event forms part of Naylor Wintersgill’s yearlong fundraising activities in support of the charity.
