Alan qualified with Isles Verity in 1974 and moved to Price Waterhouse in Leeds before spending nine years in industry.
He established Wintersgill & Co in 1986 and merged with Milnes Naylor to acquire Isles Verity in 1992, creating Naylor Wintersgill.
He specialises in all areas of corporate finance and accountancy, including company takeovers, MBIs and MBOs, sourcing finance and advising owner managed businesses.
Alan holds a number of honorary and board positions in the local Bradford community including Chairman of Governors at Woodhouse Grove School, Chairman of the Development Board at Marie Curie Bradford Hospice and a Trustee of the Airedale Agricultural Society (Bingley Show) and One in a Million.
In 2014 Alan was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Honours List for services to charity and the community of Bingley.
Alan and his wife live in Bingley. They have two ‘grown up’ children and four grandchildren – keeping him on his toes!
